Colombia Pet-Friendly
Version 2. Effective October 27, 2026.
1. Data Collection and Use
We only collect essential information (such as your email, name, and profile photos when linking Google/App) necessary to create your account, save your favorite places, and allow you to interact. We never sell your personal information to third parties or external agencies.
2. Cookies and Tracking
We use code snippets and local storage (Cookies) purely for functional and analytical purposes, helping us keep your session active and understand general traffic metrics to improve our design.
3. Your Rights and Regulations
In compliance with Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data), we assist you in your constitutional right to access, rectify, and delete your personal data stored in our database infrastructure.
4. Who is responsible
The party responsible for your data is COLOMBIA PETFRIENDLY S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) 901.329.678-5, based in Bogotá, Colombia. It runs the petfriendly.co website and the PetCard program.

5. If you sign in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your email, your name and your profile photo with us. We never receive your Google password and we do not ask for access to your Gmail, your contacts or any other data in your account.
We use them only to create your account and sign you in, save your Favorites and show your PetCard if you have one. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising and we do not share them with anyone, except the technical providers that help us run the site (section 6).
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove petfriendly's access at any time from your Google Account. That does not delete your petfriendly account: to delete it, see section 8.
6. Who helps us and where your data is stored
Your data is stored and processed by technology providers that act on our behalf and only under our instructions: Supabase (database and account access), Vercel (website hosting and visit measurement) and Resend (email delivery).
To measure and improve the site we use Google Analytics and Hotjar, and for maps, Google Maps. These services receive technical data about your visit (such as your IP address, browser and pages viewed) and handle it under their own policies. We do not give them your email, your name or your photo.
These providers' servers may be in the United States or other countries, and they are required to protect your data with security and confidentiality measures.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your account and your data within the time frames in section 8, except for anything the law requires us to keep.
Visit measurement data is kept by each service for the period set in its own policy, and we only use it as overall figures.
8. How to delete your account or exercise your rights
Write to us at hola@petfriendly.co from your account email, with your name and what you are asking for: to access, correct, update or delete your data, or to delete your whole account.
Inquiries (what data we have and how we use it): we reply within 10 business days at most. Claims (correct, update or delete): within 15 business days at most from when the claim is complete. These are the time frames of Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012; if we cannot meet them, we tell you why and reply within 5 more business days for inquiries and 8 for claims.
When you delete your account we delete your email, name, photo, Favorites and PetCards. The places, photos and reviews you published stay without your name, unless you also ask us to delete them.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
9. PetCard
If you have a PetCard, its data (your dog's or cat's name and species, the daily code and where you used it) is also governed by the PetCard data processing policy.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change anything important, we publish the new version here with its date and let you know on the site.
